Ladders can be dangerous pieces of equipment and are responsible for serious injuries every year. Many jobs require that staff use ladders, but unfortunately, in many instances, not enough is done to try and reduce the risks ladders cause and keep employees safe.

If you have been involved in a fall from ladders at work, then you could be entitled to claim compensation.

The Work at Height Regulations came into force in 2005. These detailed regulations state that when an employee is required to go up a ladder, their employer has a duty to make a safe plan, assess the risks and supervise the work. The employer must also consider whether a ladder is the correct piece of equipment for work at height when other safer methods could be used.

Common injuries caused by falls from ladders include broken bones (particularly heel fractures) and head injuries, which can lead to brain injuries. These sorts of injuries can mean permanent problems for people, who will likely be unable to work for extended periods and are likely to need significant rehabilitation and help from friends and family. Our expert Solicitors will carefully guide you through the claims process and do all we can to ensure you get private treatment to speed up your recovery. We will carefully analyse your financial losses and guide you through the negotiation to ensure you maximise your compensation.
