Irrespective of the legal structure you choose for your new business, you will need money in order to grow it.
Investment
You may be entitled to an award grant or attract investment from angel investors, who invest in start-ups and sometimes take an active role in a business. Investors may be able to take advantage of Enterprise Investment Schemes and Seed Enterprise Investment Schemes which offer tax advantages to those who invest.
Venture capitalists
Once your business becomes more established, you may attract funding from private equity investors or venture capitalists. If you have large outstanding invoices or established customers, invoice finance is a good way to raise cash and is extremely useful to avoid cash flow problems.
Crowd funding
Crowd funding, via online platform, connects businesses with interested individuals and is becoming increasingly popular. Crowd funding involves investors taking a small percentage of equity in the company or lending money and charging interest on repayments.
