An old computer database has revealed another 1,500 patients of disgraced and convicted breast surgeon, Ian Paterson, who may have been affected by surgeries he carried out between 1993 and the early 2000s.
Ian Paterson is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence after being convicted of serious assaults for operating on hundreds of breast cancer patients in which he performed unnecessary and substandard procedures, such as mastectomies.
Hundreds of Ian Paterson’s former patients have recovered compensation for their injuries, but it is very disappointing to know there may be hundreds of others who have not yet had the opportunity to receive independent, expert legal advice.
