If you were not in your current job role, what would be your alternative career choice?

As a cat lover, I would love to run a cat shelter – rescuing and rehoming stray or abandoned cats.

I would also love to be a professional singer. I have previously sung at charity functions and won the Grand Princess cruise singing competition in 2010 in a theatre of around 400 people.

What has been a highlight of your career?

Being offered my job at Taylor & Emmet. After working in the pensions and investment industry for over 15 years I was overjoyed to be offered on-the-job training as a legal secretary, resulting in my now being secretary to the Head of the Personal Injury Department.

Do you have any hobbies outside of work?

I love singing, eating out and jogging.

What is your favourite film?

Bridget Jones’ Diary

Favourite type of case to deal with?

I don’t have a particular favourite as each case is different and interesting in their own right. I do however enjoy dealing with witness statements, some of which are extremely interesting to read.

Who inspired you to pursue your career?

My mum and my Uncle Mick who was a magistrate.

How long you have been working for Taylor & Emmet?

I will have worked for T&E for 5 years in March this year.

What has been your most memorable case?

A client of ours who wrote us an hysterical letter saying she had accidentally left her Valium tablets out and the cat had eaten them. Although it was exhausted after racing around so much, you will be pleased to hear that the cat survived! Although this was a few years ago we still find it amusing to this this day!
