I recently secured compensation of over £4000 for a gentleman in his 50s after he suffered chemical burns to his back after collecting a commercial vehicle from a dealer on behalf of his employer.
Whilst driving it back to his workplace, he began to feel a burning sensation – and found to his horror and agony that the seats had been cleaned with a corrosive fluid!
Our client went to hospital straight away and was given a cream to apply to these burns, resulting in a near-complete recovery over approximately one year.
Liability was accepted at an early stage by the dealer’s insurers and the client suffered no loss of earnings.
