If a Personal Injury Lawyer says that your claim is not likely to succeed, don’t think that means it won’t. Often, a more experienced solicitor with better knowledge of the law and more experience, will be more likely to help you win your claim.
I remember we acted for a lady who suffered horrendous injuries when the handbrake on a parked car failed and it rolled downhill into her. The claim was rejected by a firm of solicitors. The lady asked us for a second opinion and ended up settling her claim for over £100 000.00. We suggested a different approach to the claim which succeeded, whereas if she had accepted the view of the previous firm as final, she would have recovered nothing.
This week, we succeeded with a claim for a Sheffield lady who had taken advice from a firm of lawyers from another town about an accident in which she sustained a fracture. They decided it wasn’t worth proceeding with. We took the case on and the opponent’s insurers have now admitted liability. Our client will recover substantial damages.
Remember that some solicitors are much better than others. I suggest that you always consult a local firm which you can visit. I recommend that you ask to see an experienced lawyer too.
