This week has seen the settlement of a long-running road traffic claim, wherein our client suffered a rear end shunt on a narrow bridge in Derbyshire. The defendant’s insurers initially disputed that the collision was serious enough to cause injury, despite strong medical evidence to the contrary.
Court proceedings began, resulting in a settlement before the trial of approximately £2000. This was largely due to our client’s supportive and strong witness evidence!
A good result for the client in the end, but this claim, like many others, was dragged out unnecessarily by the insurers resulting in the honest claimant suffering from additional anxiety.
