Our latest Case of the Week is the settlement of a claim for local Sheffield lady in her 70’s. She was injured when the stair rail in her house came away from the wall whilst she was holding onto it, causing her to fall down the stairs and sustain injuries to her neck, hip and back. Thankfully the consequences were not too serious!
Liability was initially denied by her landlord, but after a show of persistence by our Jonathan Stittle – pictured – liability was accepted 4 months later. After the receipt of a medical report, our client was awarded damages of over £8000. Our client was delighted as she hadn’t expected her claim to be successful.
