This September, Taylor Emmet is proud to be joining forces with hundreds of charities, professional advisers, and partners across the UK to celebrate Remember A Charity Week.
As proud Campaign Supporters, throughout the week we will be shining a light on the incredible difference made by gifts left to charity in Wills, and inviting more people to consider passing on something wonderful to the causes close to their heart, alongside taking care of loved ones.
With generous tax incentives available, this form of charitable giving is on the rise and provides essential funding for vital services across the country, both now and for future generations. Around £3 in every £10 donated to charity comes through gifts in Wills. In the current economic climate, this funding has become increasingly important for thousands of charities and community organisations, with some of the nation’s best-loved charities simply unable to continue their work without the generosity of people who remember them in their Wills.
Thanks to the generous acts of everyday people, the UK ‘Willanthropy’ movement continues to grow, with more than 100 people a day across the UK now writing a gift to charity in their Will. By working together with Remember A Charity, we hope to inspire even more people to consider what they wish to be remembered for.
Ben Brown, Head of Charity Assist says: “We’re delighted to be part of this year’s Remember A Charity Week. A gift in a Will can be a powerful way to support a cause that matters to you, creating a lasting impact for future generations.
After taking care of family and loved ones, even a small gift to a favourite charity can make a real difference. Remember A Charity Week is a great opportunity to get people thinking about the causes that matter to them and the legacy they would like to leave behind.”
As part of our wider commitment to supporting legacy giving, Taylor Emmet also works directly with charities through our Legacy Creation service, helping them develop sustainable approaches to legacy giving and create more opportunities for future gifts in Wills.
Remember A Charity Week (7–13 September 2026) is an annual celebration of the power and impact of legacy giving. Throughout the week, campaign partners, solicitors, Will-writers, charities and others will be championing the legacy message, encouraging people across the country to help build a brighter future by leaving a gift in their Will.
