Instruction of IFAs and accountants to advise on tax and other financial issues arising out of probate work undertaken on behalf of clients. All individuals instructed are FCA regulated. Accountants used are also regulated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales

Estate Agents instructed in the sale of the property of the deceased when acting in the administration of an Estate as required Instructions will be sent to Blundells Estate Agents, Saxton Mee or Staves and such other estate agents as may be used from time to time
Obtaining valuations in respect of contents of the deceased’s home and other chattels owned by the deceased when acting in the administration of an Estate, and instructing on the disposal of those assets as required Instructions will be sent to Sheffield Auction Gallery or such other valuers as may be used from time to time
Liaising with other individuals and organisations in order to ascertain the extent of the assets and liabilities of the deceased, date of death valuations and realise the deceased’s assets and distribute the Estate in accordance with the provisions of the Will or rules applicable on intestacy In the normal course of the administration of an Estate the Probate Team will routinely communicate with many of the organisations listed below:

  • Banks and building societies;
  • Utility companies;
  • DWP;
  • Probate Registry;
  • HMRC;
  • Deceased’s accountant;
  • Those beneficially entitled under the Will;
  • HM Land Registry;
  • Funeral Directors;
  • DVLA
