Beth Jenkins
Senior Associate, Family Law
Bethany joined Taylor Emmet in July 2019 and commenced her Training Contract in September 2019. She qualified into the Family Department in September 2020 and has since progressed to the position of a Senior Associate. In November 2025, she became a collaboratively trained lawyer.
Bethany secured a Training Contract in 2018 having graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a First-Class Honours Law Degree in 2017. In 2019, Beth studied her Legal Practice Course at BBP in Leeds, achieving a distinction.
Based at the firm’s Sheffield South West office, Bethany has experience across all areas of family law :-
- All Private law children matters
- Grandparents and arrangements for grandchildren
- Divorce, Dissolution of civil partnerships and Judicial Separation
- Finances upon Divorce, Dissolution of civil partnerships and Judicial Separation
- Disputes between cohabiting couples
- Preparation of pre- and post-nuptial agreements and
- Separation agreements
Bethany is a member of Resolution, a community of family justice professionals who work with families and individuals to resolve issues in a constructive way. As a member of resolution and a trained collaborative lawyer, Bethany aims to deal with mattersin a cooperative and conciliatory way where possible.
Bethany is committed to resolving matters without the need for judicial intervention wherever possible and has experience attending hybrid mediation. However, she is also a skilled litigator and provides robust representation where court proceedings are necessary.
Bethany is known for her compassionate and considerate approach, working closely with clients to achieve practical and constructive outcomes that enable families to move forward with confidence. Bethany was also recognised in The Legal 500 2025 as a lawyer who provides ’invaluable advice’ in an ‘understanding and compassionate way’.
