It is now a year since we unveiled our new brand and name change. What a year it has been for the firm!
It was back in July 2022 when we showcased our new brand, including changing the firm’s name for the first time in our 150-year history. By removing the ampersand from our name, we aligned ourselves with our digital profile whilst modernising and future-proofing our identity.
The reaction to the rebrand was exceptional and coincided with an all-new website, which offers a modern, more user-friendly experience in line with our promise to provide a first-class client service from the first interaction to the completion of a matter.
After the rebrand, our teams were celebrating some significant award recognition. Firstly, we were awarded the Bronze accreditation from Investors in the Environment for our commitment to improving our environmental practices.
We were recognised for achieving a 73 per cent reduction in paper usage, whilst putting plans in place to ensure 50 per cent of waste at every office is recycled, along with a 10 per cent reduction in electricity and water usage.
Our teams also won awards for their high standard of work. Firstly, our Wills and Probate team won Probate Provider of the Year for the North and Midlands at the British Wills and Probate awards. It is the third year running that Taylor Emmet has been recognised by the awards, showing that the team has been completing work to a high standard for some time.
The Corporate and Residential Property teams were also celebrating after being named Team of the Year in their respective fields at the Sheffield and District Law Society awards. This came after our Family Law and Contentious Probate teams were recognised in Tier One of the Legal 500 guide.
Alongside the rebrand, the most significant event for the firm in the past year has been the opening of our brand-new Sheffield South West office.
We signed the lease on the former Gilder car showroom at 1 Ecclesall Road South – one of the most prominent locations in the city – and started a year-long project to refurbish the space to our exact requirements.
The new office is fully open plan and forms part of our pledge to revolutionise our traditional working practices, with the team able to book their office space rather than having a permanent desk. It will act as the blueprint for our other offices across the region.
We had a fantastic launch event back in February and the response to the new office space was phenomenal. Since then, we have been welcoming clients to the office and taking advantage of the new meeting spaces on offer.
As we mark a year of the Taylor Emmet brand, it is clear that we are is in a strong position to build on the successes of the past 12 months and we look forward to continuing to grow the firm in the coming year and beyond.
