The Wills and Probate team at Sheffield City Region law firm Taylor Emmet has won a national British Wills and Probate Award.
The 34-strong team, including 14 legal professionals, is headed up by Partner Richard King and has been named Probate Provider of the Year for the North and Midlands region.
The team were named the winners at a ceremony in Birmingham on 20 October.
Richard King said: “We are thrilled to win this award. The team’s workload has been very high in recent months, but everyone has risen to the challenge and it is fantastic that their hard work has been recognised by the industry.
“Working in our field of law is a crucial but very delicate and often emotional job, and we have to treat our clients with the utmost care and respect at every stage of the process. I would like to thank everyone in the Wills and Probate team for maintaining an exceptionally high level of client service, which has led to this award recognition.”
Taylor Emmet’s Wills and Probate services include compiling Lasting Powers of Attorney, tax planning, the administration of estates and creating trusts. The team also specialises in care home planning, agricultural estates, and private wealth.
It is the third year running that Taylor Emmet have been recognised by the Wills and Probate awards after the firm won the Solicitor Firm of the Year for the North category in 2020, followed by Private Client Team of the Year in 2021, alongside Associate Solicitor Oliver Simpson being named Young Practitioner of the Year in 2021.
