The Wills and Probate team at Sheffield and Derbyshire law firm Taylor Emmet has been shortlisted for a British Wills and Probate Award.
The 34-strong team, including 14 legal professionals, is headed up by Partner Richard King and has been named as a finalist for Probate Provider of the Year for the North and Midlands region.
Taylor Emmet’s Wills and Probate services include compiling Lasting Powers of Attorney, tax planning, the administration of estates and creating trusts. The team also specialises in care home planning, agricultural estates, and wealth management.
Richard King said: “We are thrilled to have been shortlisted and it’s a testament to the hard work of the Probate team who have had a large workload in recent months and have risen to the challenge admirably.
“Working in our field is a crucial but very delicate and often emotional job and we have to treat our clients with the utmost care and respect at every stage of the process. I would like to thank everyone in the Wills and Probate team for working to such a high level which has led to this recognition.”
Taylor Emmet Chief Executive Officer Steve Hinshelwood said: “It is a huge credit to Richard and the Wills and Probate team to be shortlisted for this award. The work they have done in the past year has been exceptional, particularly amid the uncertain economic environment and the large caseload they have had to deal with.
“At Taylor Emmet we are proud of the level of service we consistently offer to clients, so it is fantastic to see one of our teams be recognised by an industry body.”
The British Wills and Probate awards ceremony will take place in Birmingham on 20 October.
