Matthew Is a Senior Associate and Head of the Employment Department.
Matthew qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2014, and has previously worked for a large international firm, as well as a small specialist employment law firm, and has experience of working with employers and employees, both exclusively and as part of a mixed practice. He has significant experience in all aspects of employment and discrimination law and often carries out his own advocacy in the Employment Tribunal. Matthew has also dealt with cases in the Employment Appeal Tribunal and Court of Appeal, as well as handling employment-related claims in the County Court.
Matthew has significant experience of advising companies and individuals on all aspects of employment law, including advising on restructures and redundancy exercises, disciplinary/grievance processes, contracts of employment, sickness absence issues, TUPE, discrimination law, settlement agreements, and drafting employment policies and staff handbooks. Matthew also has extensive experience of Tribunal litigation. Matthew is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and the Industrial Law Society.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, eating out, reading and listening to music and watching sports (tennis and cricket mostly).
