Head of Facilities Management

I joined Taylor Emmet in September 1990, starting in the firms post room I quickly moved to become the Database Manager and then the Purchasing Manager, over the years the role has grown into the facilities role that I do today.

I am responsible for the management of services and processes that support the core business of the firm and I am also responsible for ensuring that all health and safety legislation is adhered to and policies and practices are adopted to ensure that the firm has a suitable working environment for its employees and their activities.

My aim is to achieve the best business practice to improve efficiency, by reducing operating costs while increasing productivity and to reduce the firms carbon footprint consistently year on year. This is a wide field with a diverse range of responsibilities including being involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations, in relation to buildings, premises and purchasing.
