Taylor Emmet has boosted its Family Law team with the appointment of Emilie Garthwaite-Tunnard as an Associate.

Emilie has moved to Taylor Emmet from her previous role at another Sheffield firm. She qualified as a solicitor in 2016 after completing a Graduate Diploma in Law at the University of Sheffield.

Emilie will be representing parents, family members and children in care proceedings, as well as children’s guardians in private law proceedings. Alongside this, she will advise clients on any issues relating to social care and child protection matters.

Emilie said: “I’m delighted to be joining Taylor Emmet. Having seen the rebrand and heard the ambitious growth plans, I was keen to become part of a firm that’s clearly going places and offers great opportunities for career progression.

“Having now been qualified for eight years, I’m ready to take the next step in my career and I feel like Taylor Emmet is a great place to do that. The enthusiasm and support from my colleagues in the Family team has been brilliant so far and I’m looking forward to working with more clients in the months ahead.”
