Samantha is a Solicitor in the clinical negligence department. She joined the team in 2014 after graduating with a Law degree from Sheffield Hallam University. She then completed the Legal Practice Course at The University of Law in Manchester in 2015, before commencing her training contract at the firm.
Samantha acts for clients who have suffered an injury or deterioration in their health due to substandard care by hospitals, GPs, care homes, dentists, opticians and other healthcare providers. She has experience of dealing with a wide range of cases including negligent surgery, failures to diagnose and treat, prescription errors, defective medical devices, pressure sores, falls in hospitals and care homes, brain haemorrhage and neurological injuries, anaesthetic awareness, consent claims, ophthalmic negligence, fatal claims, orthopaedic claims and delay in diagnosis of cancer.
Samantha is driven by helping and supporting her clients throughout the course of their case. She tries her best to be as accessible as possible and she’s passionate about achieving the very best result for all of her clients. She is empathetic, sensitive and professional. She understands clients can sometimes feel vulnerable after going through traumatic events and are often looking for answers into what happened during their medical care or that of a family member.
Samantha is currently a Committee Member of the Sheffield and District Junior Lawyers Division and mentors students at Sheffield Hallam University as part of their Careers Mentoring Scheme.
When Samantha is not at work she enjoys travelling, spending time with her family and friends, decorating and DIY, reading, and long walks in the Peak District.
