It is an incredibly difficult decision when family members admit they cannot offer the care an elderly loved one needs. A care home should be a supportive and caring environment that provides round the clock care to those who need it.<\/p>\n<p>Many care homes offer good care and act responsibly. But what happens when you realise that the care home that your loved one resides in is inadequate and not the caring environment you had hoped for? Residents at care homes should be given regular showers and baths and nursing call bells should not be unanswered for long periods of time. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has demanded immediate action and said that more and more care homes are not safe or are providing poor and inconsistent care. In recent news, it has become apparent that patients at care homes where family members have raised concerns have been treated appallingly and let down extremely badly during their last and most precious days.<\/p>\n<p>The CQC have commented that more rigorous monitoring has been introduced and staff at the poor performing care homes are being introduced to ongoing training programmes to ensure that their \u201cprocesses and procedures to support quality of care are strictly followed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Many of our Clients have reported neglect and inadequate care in care homes, resulting in avoidable illness, pain, suffering and distress.
