This issue has been steadily gaining attention, but there seems to be a significant gap in understanding the potential long-term health effects it can cause, especially when it comes to instances of prolonged exposure.<\/h4>\n<p>Our <a href=\"httpss:\/\/www.tayloremmet.co.uk\/our-people\/?_people_search=personal-injury\">Personal Injury team<\/a> recently handled a case involving a family whose lives were severely disrupted by a poorly built home extension. The quality of the construction work was significantly subpar, resulting in a complete lack of damp proofing and leading to a severe mould infestation within their home. This seemingly minor issue spiralled into a major health crisis for their 16-year-old son, who began experiencing an array of health issues that ranged from difficulty breathing, memory loss and even psychotic episodes.<\/p>\n<p>After a seven-week stay in hospital, the family discovered that the mould infestation had led to a dangerous alteration in the toxins present in their son&#8217;s body. This led to an exacerbation of his symptoms.
