\"blue_johns_panel\"<\/a>Injury claims arise\u00a0from many different situations. Most result from common situations\u00a0such as Road Traffic Accidents, Accidents at Work and Slips and Trips.\u00a0This week, I\u00a0thought I’d list ten real claims that we have dealt with over the years that fall into the “unusual” category:-<\/p>\n

  1. A client was caught under a falling tower of lemonade bottles in his local supermarket.<\/li>\n
  2. Another was pushed off a wall by someone dressed as a large furry dog mascot at a well-known amusement park.<\/li>\n
  3. An unfortunate lorry driver was stuck in a traffic jam on a motorway. He needed to relieve himself and thought the safest place to do so was on the road between his vehicle and the one in front – until it reversed into him!<\/li>\n
  4. Two clients have fallen down trapdoors that were inadvertently left open on different\u00a0shop floors.<\/li>\n
  5. One lady was performing in a play in her local church hall when she fell off the stage after someone moved a set of steps she was meant to walk down.<\/li>\n
  6. Spare a thought for a lady who was knocked down by an AA van as she was crossing the road.<\/li>\n
  7. A man was scalded when the hostess of a gardening committee meeting spilled hot coffee all over him.<\/li>\n
  8. Two clients have been thrown off faulty treadmills at local gyms.<\/li>\n
  9. The thought of the man who was bitten by the landlord’s dog as he was using the pub urinal always makes me cringe.<\/li>\n
  10. A couple will certainly not forget their wedding after most of the guests suffered from food poisoning.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
