However, those are a small percentage of such claims.<\/p>\n<p>Work-related accidents can occur anywhere, anytime and are in most cases avoidable accidents. When you are at work, your employer has a duty of care to ensure that you are not placed at risk of injury. Your employer should be taking reasonable precautions to ensure that you are safe in your role. This will include: &#8211;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Undertaking risk assessments<\/li>\n<li>Regularly reviewing risk assessments to ensure they are up to date<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring safe working practices are implemented<\/li>\n<li>Providing you with work equipment that is in good working order<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring your workspace is suitable for your role<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Types of accidents at work<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Whilst this list is not exhaustive, the most common types of accidents at work we see are as a result of: &#8211;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Faulty\/ineffective work equipment<\/li>\n<li>Unsafe work practices<\/li>\n<li>Lack of training<\/li>\n<li>Negligence by work colleagues<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Types of employment sectors<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>We regularly see claims being made by employees in the following areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Care Homes<\/li>\n<li>Building\/Construction<\/li>\n<li>Offices<\/li>\n<li>Delivery Workers<\/li>\n<li>Factories<\/li>\n<li>Warehouses<\/li>\n<li>Catering<\/li>\n<li>Cleaning<\/li>\n<li>Catering<\/li>\n<li>Motor industry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Again, the above list is not exhaustive, and we are often instructed by injured workers in a variety of other employments.<\/p>\n<p>Many people have concerns about making a claim against a current employer.
