{"id":3512,"date":"2021-09-20T16:38:28","date_gmt":"2021-09-20T15:38:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tayloremmet.co.uk\/blogs\/?p=3512"},"modified":"2021-09-20T16:38:28","modified_gmt":"2021-09-20T15:38:28","slug":"double-shortlist-success-at-probate-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tayloremmet.co.uk\/blogs\/double-shortlist-success-at-probate-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Double Shortlist Success at Probate Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>We are proud to be representing Yorkshire at the national industry awards next month after reaching the finals in two categories.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Taylor&amp;Emmet is in the running for the Private Client Team of the Year and Young Practitioner of the Year prizes at the British Wills and Probate Awards.<\/p>\n<p>This is the third time we have been shortlisted and follows our success at last year\u2019s event, where we were named Solicitor Firm of the Year (North).<\/p>\n<p>Our probate team is one of four nominated in the Private Client category and is competing against firms from the south and north east. The award recognises those who work together to benefit clients and the overall success of their firms by adopting a team-based approach and developing a diverse mix of skills and experience.<\/p>\n<p>Oliver Simpson, who works at our Arundel Gate headquarters, joins finalists from Lancashire and Glasgow in the Young Practitioner category. It is open to solicitors under the age of 35, who show high levels of involvement in the probate sector, a flair for innovation and initiative in challenging situations.<\/p>\n<p>Winners will be announced at a hybrid awards ceremony, held on October 21 at The Grand Hotel in Birmingham and live streamed by organisers, Today\u2019s Wills and Probate magazine. It will be hosted by TV journalist, Jennie Bond.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Richard King, head of our wills and probate team, said: <strong><em>\u201cIt is a real feather in our cap to be shortlisted in two categories at these prestigious industry awards and to be flying the flag for Yorkshire.
