{"id":2741,"date":"2019-10-07T15:41:19","date_gmt":"2019-10-07T14:41:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tayloremmet.co.uk\/blogs\/?p=2741"},"modified":"2019-10-07T15:41:19","modified_gmt":"2019-10-07T14:41:19","slug":"supporting-young-business-talent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tayloremmet.co.uk\/blogs\/supporting-young-business-talent\/","title":{"rendered":"Supporting Young Business Talent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>We are investing in the future success of Sheffield\u2019s business community, by backing to two initiatives encouraging youth enterprise.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Taylor&amp;Emmet sponsored a key award at Sheffield Chamber of Commerce\u2019s Annual Dinner and we are supporting our trainee solicitors\u2019 efforts to build a local networking group for young people.<\/p>\n<p>Rob Moore, head of business legal services, joined Chamber president, Steve Manley, to present Tom Benford of Plastic Phobia with The President\u2019s Young Entrepreneur 2019 award, in front of more than 300 guests at the Cutlers Hall.<\/p>\n<p>Tom set up his business supplying green alternatives to plastic products, whilst studying economics at the University of Sheffield and subsequently left his course to run the firm fulltime. He was honoured by the Chamber for his outstanding contribution to the business community and his success so far.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor&amp;Emmet is also one of the founders of Sheffield Future Business Leaders, a young professionals\u2019 networking group. It is run by our trainees, alongside their counterparts at BHP accountants and has already attracted more than 160 members. Its next free breakfast seminar will be held on October 24 at Kommune in the city centre and will feature a guest speaker from Paper Studios, who will be discussing the challenges faced by technology business start-ups.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Rob Moore said: \u201cWe have a long and proud tradition of helping young people develop their skills and a number of our past trainees are now partners.
