The organisation has developed publicity materials aimed at football clubs, youth and family initiatives, schools etc with the slogan \u201cShow Violence the Red Card\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The Women\u2019s Aid campaign \u2018<strong><span style=\"color: #003a7a;\"><a style=\"color: #003a7a;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.womensaid.org.uk\/what-we-do\/football-united\">Football United Against Domestic Violence<\/a>\u2019<\/span><\/strong> has called upon the football community to stand united against domestic abuse and sexism during the world cup.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Police forces across the country are on high alert for an increase in reports. In Hampshire a dedicated force of an additional 10 officers has been established for the duration of the world cup. In Cleveland a social media campaign has been launched using the \u201cRed Card\u201d slogan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The deterioration in some fans\u2019 behaviour is quite often fuelled by alcohol which, coupled with high drama on the pitch, can lead to feelings of frustration and anger, especially when a team loses.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The campaign by Women\u2019s Aid which has been running since 2014 aims to bring about a change in attitudes surrounding football culture citing that sexist attitudes, chants and behaviour at football matches encourage an environment in which women are belittled and demeaned.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Until there is a wholesale culture change some fans will feel it is acceptable to take their frustrations out on family members within the confines of the home.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The White Ribbon approach is aimed at men and football clubs in particular and will hopefully get the message across to all would-be perpetrators that conduct which may have been acceptable to some in the past will not be tolerated in 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Our family law team at Taylor&amp;Emmet are experienced at dealing with issues surrounding domestic abuse.
