Michaela Heathcote is a partner specialising in matrimonial issues.
She joined Taylor&Emmet as a trainee in 1989 after studying law in Hull and Chester and became a partner in 1999.
Michaela deals mainly with matters arising from family breakdowns, particularly those relating to finances and arrangements for children following separation or divorce. She also has a growing number of international cases.
As an accredited Resolution specialist, Michaela helps clients reach a fair outcome to disputes. She is also treasurer of South Yorkshire Regional Resolution and a recognised Collaborative Lawyer – one of very few in South Yorkshire.
Michaela enjoys spending time with her son and salsa dances her way through most Saturday afternoons. She also likes socialising with friends, particularly if that includes eating pasta and drinking the odd glass of wine!
