John Outram, head of our residential conveyancing team, has worked at Taylor&Emmet for more than 20 years.
Born and bred in Sheffield, he left the city only briefly to study law, before joining Taylor&Emmet as an assistant solicitor.
Since then, John has orchestrated the launch of our Ecclesall Road branch, which opened in 1984 with one member of staff, one filing cabinet and three files! He was subsequently made a partner in 1987 and has seen the conveyancing department grow into one of the region’s largest, although it maintains a down-to-earth and friendly approach to moving house. 
John is also one of the country’s leading experts on Home Information Packs (HIPs) and is a director of Taylor&Emmet’s sister company, HIPS Professional.
