Taylor&Emmet tucks in for Weston Park
Sheffield’s Taylor&Emmet LLP has the recipe for fundraising success, after a bake sale boosted the amount it has raised for its annual charity to almost £1,000.
Following its most recent fundraising event, the leading firm of solicitors has raised £944.74 to date for its nominated 2010 charity, Weston Park Hospital. Taylor&Emmet’s employees demonstrated their culinary skills at the firm’s bake sale, donating home-made cakes and buns, which were sold during a dress down day to raise £140.87 for Weston Park. The hospital is one of only three in the country dedicated to the treatment of cancer, providing services for patients across the region. The firm aims to increase its fundraising total even further this year through a series of individual and group fundraising activities. These include participation in Weston Park’s 10 kilometre run in July and skydive in September, as well as in-house challenges such as a Wii bowling competition and bad taste jumper day. Stephanie Shaw, Taylor&Emmet’s marketing co-ordinator, said: “I would like to thank everyone who took the time to bake a cake for our dress down day – their efforts were extremely well received by the rest of our staff and provided a much needed boost to our fundraising. It is heartening to see everyone unite behind such a worthy cause and I have no doubt that we will continue to add to our current total, as we have several high profile events coming up through the rest of the year.”
