World Cup fever has gripped leading Sheffield law firm, Taylor&Emmet LLP.

The firm's business legal services group celebrated the start of the eagerly anticipated global football extravaganza by inviting clients and intermediaries to a special marketing event.  

Professionals from across the city joined a number of lawyers from Taylor&Emmet's commercial teams to watch the first match of the World Cup between South Africa and Mexico on a large screen in the main boardroom at the firm's Arundel Gate headquarters. The event kicked off with drinks and chat, before everyone's attention turned to the action on the pitch.

Peter Crawford, a corporate finance lawyer at Taylor&Emmet and organiser of the event, said: 'Bringing some of our key contacts together at the end of the working week was an excellent way to celebrate the start of the World Cup and catch up on business in the city.
