Taylor&Emmet strikes deal to support Challenge Cup
Sheffield’s Taylor&Emmet LLP has scored a match made in heaven, after signing a two year sponsorship agreement with the county’s Football Association. The leading firm of solicitors will be sponsoring Sheffield and Hallamshire FA’s Sunday Senior and Junior Challenge Cups for the next two seasons. The deal reinforces Taylor&Emmet’s commitment to grassroots football, which already includes support of Greenhill Juniors and Dronfield Town Ladies teams. A total of 400 squads enter the Sunday Challenge Cups, making them the area’s largest cup competitions. Anthony Long, Taylor&Emmet’s chief executive, said: “Many of our staff are keen local football fans, devoting a significant proportion of their free time to the sport at grassroots level. Like Sheffield and Hallamshire FA, Taylor&Emmet has a strong historical connection with the city and sponsoring the Challenge Cups is a demonstration of our continuing commitment to the communities in which our clients and staff live, work and play.” Taylor&Emmet has enjoyed close links with Sheffield and Hallamshire FA for a number of years, having supported the organisation’s drive to recruit more referees since 2007. As part of its Challenge Cup sponsorship programme, the firm is offering a 10% discount on all legal services to club officials, players and anyone connected with the local Football Association. James Hope-Gill, chief executive of Sheffield and Hallamshire FA, added: “We would like to thank Taylor&Emmet for making this two year commitment to the county FA. The teams involved in the Challenge Cups are passionate about the competition and the firm’s investment will be a valuable boost to the game. In return, we are confident that exposure to the many local people involved in grassroots football will be of great benefit to Taylor&Emmet.” For further information about Taylor&Emmet’s support of Sheffield and Hallamshire FA, visit www.tayloremmet.co.uk or www.sheffieldfa.com
