TAYLOR&EMMET GIVES DOCTORS DOSE OF GOOD ADVICE
Leading Taylor&Emmet’s head of commercial property, Vincent Green, is playing a key role in the development of a flagship new medical centre in the North East Derbyshire town. Stubley Medical LLP, which is run by doctors Peter Allamby and Miles Davidson, instructed Taylor&Emmet to take a lead role in their development, as Vincent has a long-standing professional relationship with Dr Davidson and the firm has an office in Dronfield. The new Medical Centre is being built on part of the former Taylor&Emmet has been involved in the development from the outset, firstly to assist with the purchase of the land from Derbyshire County Council and to deal with the funding requirements of Handelsbanken Sheffield. The firm has also arranged collateral contracts with Wildgoose Construction Ltd and their subcontractors and assisted the professional team, headed up by Nigel Clayton of Dr Davidson said: “As our commitment to the project increased, the need to have good people around us was invaluable. An interview with Vincent helped us prepare and thanks to his experience, we have subsequently navigated our way through everything from the land purchase, to unfamiliar leases, collateral warranties, third party requirements, contracts and titles.” After more than two years of negotiation and building works, Stubley Medical Centre and the commercial and residential units are now at completion. Vincent added: “It has been an honour to see such a complicated and multifaceted project through from beginning to end.
