TAYLOR&EMMET JOINS THE PINK PARADE Leading Sheffield solicitors, Taylor&Emmet LLP, is showing its support for the next generation of legal talent by proving there is more than one route to career success. Taylor&Emmet has taken on four recently qualified solicitors, welcomed one new trainee to the firm and is helping a further five existing employees fulfil their legal potential. . After completing two-year training contracts at Taylor&Emmet, recently qualified solicitors, Clare Slater and Stephanie Cooke, have joined the business legal services team and will specialise in corporate law and commercial litigation respectively, whilst Anna Green and Rachael Reed-Hill who also recently qualified as solicitors, have joined the clinical negligence and family departments, respectively. New trainee solicitor, Emma Howard, joins Taylor&Emmet from management consultancy, ICS Consulting. After studying for her academic qualifications and working full time, she will be embarking on two years’ practical training with the firm, before choosing her specialism. Existing Taylor&Emmet paralegal, Lisa Wallis, is in the process of completing the academic qualifications required to qualify as a solicitor. Whilst working at the firm, she has undertaken a part time Graduate Diploma in Law and is now studying her Legal Practice Course, which will enable her to begin a two-year training contract in 2010. Taylor&Emmet is also helping an additional four members of staff complete professional diplomas to become legal executives. Legal assistant, Danielle Hitchen, has passed her final Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX) exams and is currently undertaking two years’ training with the firm’s family department. Debt recovery officer, Melodie Rockcliffe, conveyancer, Claire Yarrow and paralegal, Julie Omaison, are continuing to work towards achieving their ILEX qualifications with the support of in-house mentors.
