NEW TAYLOR&EMMET HELPLINE AIDS FAMILIES IN NEED
South Yorkshire families in need of emergency legal advice can now take advantage of a unique helpline set up by Taylor&Emmet Solicitors.
The leading Sheffield-based firm has established a phone line and system of free appointments to provide local families with quick and accessible legal advice.
Taylor&Emmet has installed a phone number 0114 218 4040 dedicated to this service and is offering free initial appointments at its Arundel Gate headquarters, to help local people access essential legal advice and support in emergency situations.
Elizabeth Howard, one of Taylor&Emmet’s specialist family solicitors, is co-ordinating the helpline. She said: “We recognised that many people caught up in emergency family situations often need urgent legal advice, but are unsure of where to go. We believe that by providing a helpline and free initial appointments, we are offering a unique and valuable service to those who need it most.”
Taylor&Emmet’s family department is working closely with Sheffield’s domestic abuse projects to provide people using the advice line with help in related matters, including housing, immigration and counselling.
Maureen Storey, co-ordinator of Sheffield Domestic Abuse Forum, said: “Making sense of their situation is often difficult for women who come into contact with the courts and criminal justice system because of domestic abuse. The free advice service offered by Taylor&Emmet can be a great help in clarifying the options available to them.”
Taylor&Emmet’s family helpline is available between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. For further information contact the family department on (0114) 218 4000 or visit www.tayloremmet.co.uk
