TAYLOR&EMMET INVITES EMPLOYERS TO LAW UPDATE
Local businesses can ensure they don’t fall foul of recent changes to employment law legislation, thanks to leading Sheffield solicitors, Taylor&Emmet.
The employment team at Taylor&Emmet is inviting South Yorkshire businesses to a free breakfast seminar focusing on important developments in this area of the law.
Taylor&Emmet’s experienced employment law specialists are holding the free seminar at Sheffield United’s 1889 Restaurant on November 6, from 8am to 10am, to provide an overview of legislative changes and an opportunity for employers to network with fellow delegates.
The seminar will include updates on the laws surrounding sex, disability and age discrimination and the rights of agency workers, as well as important case law on holiday pay and redundancy consultation. It will also take a look at the key legal issues facing employers during the next 12 months, including major changes in disciplinary and grievance procedures, the Working Time Regulations and new equality laws.
David Poddington, Taylor&Emmet’s head of employment law, said: “This is an important year for employment law in the UK and there has been some complex changes in the law and more to come next year. Our first-hand experience in these areas means we can ensure local organisations are equipped with the right level of knowledge to tackle employment issues in the year ahead. It is also an opportunity for delegates to network with their peers and share their own experiences.”
Attendance at Taylor&Emmet’s employment law update is restricted to the first 50 delegates to apply. For further information, contact Sue Traylor on (0114) 218 4000 or email sue.traylor@tayloremmet.co.uk
