TAYLOR&EMMET HAS RECIPE FOR FUNDRAISING SUCCESS

Fundraisers at Sheffield’s Taylor&Emmet Solicitors are on a high following the success of their Macmillan coffee morning – and its nothing to do with the caffeine!

Staff at Taylor&Emmet’s Arundel Gate headquarters participated in Macmillan Cancer Support’s ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ and raised £276 for the charity.

Members of the Taylor&Emmet team demonstrated their culinary competence by baking a selection of cakes that were then sold by the slice to raise money for Macmillan, as the firm joined hundreds of others around the UK taking part in simultaneous coffee mornings.

Macmillan’s area fundraising manager, Steve Loane, attended the event. He said: “We are incredibly grateful to Taylor&Emmet for taking part in this fundraiser and to the members of the team who baked the fantastic selection of cakes on offer. Last year, Macmillan raised £7.5 million from its World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and with the help of firms like Taylor&Emmet, we hope to do even better this year.”

Taylor&Emmet’s Sue Traylor, who organised the coffee morning, added: “I would like to thank all of my colleagues for making this event such a success. We had a delicious array of cakes to accompany our cups of coffee, which in turn, helped us raise funds for this very worthy cause.”
