Legal support
Our secretaries’ duties include document production,
taking first instructions from clients and arranging
meetings.
All candidates must have a minimum typing speed of
60 words per minute and we are happy to receive
applications from knowledgeable secretaries at any time.
They will be stored for six months and should a position
arise, we will contact you directly.

Trainee Solicitors
Nurturing young solicitors is key to the ongoing
success of Taylor&Emmet. We believe investing in
talented individuals at the beginning of their careers
is an investment in the future of the firm. We can help
you shape your career by providing the choice of both
business and personal legal services experience during
your training contract. Training contracts consist of 4
seats, 1 of which must be non-contentious
(non-litigation).
You will gain experience in drafting documents,
writing letters, attending client meetings and attending
court. Negotiating, instructing and legal research will
become part of your daily routine. We look for
potential, confidence and passion. Each trainee we have
recruited is academically bright with a minimum 2:1
degree, but most of all they have determination to
succeed in law and a keen interest in a long and
rewarding career T&E.
Summary University Work Placements 2011
At T&E we have 5 one week placements to offer university
students from June to August. We are looking for
university students that want to understand more about
becoming a trainee, partner and lawyer of the future. In
your application be sure to sell yourself as we receive
an enormous response every year.
As with our training contracts you can shape your own work
placement and decide which disciplines you would like to
spend your time in. Why not try out something that you
don’t enjoy studying at University…you might surprise
yourself!
