Residential Conveyancing
John Outram
Partner in Residential Conveyancing
There's little that John Outram and his colleagues don't know about Sheffield and its property market. Having bought and sold many of the same properties several times over, there's a frequent sense of déjà vu in his office, but also many surprises along the way.
Born and bred in Sheffield, John only left the city briefly to study law before returning to join Taylor & Emmet more than 20 years ago as an assistant solicitor in the conveyancing department.
John opened the thriving Ecclesall Road branch of Taylor&Emmet with one member of staff, a filing cabinet and three files back in 1984. He subsequently became a partner in 1987 and the conveyancing team at Taylor&Emmet has grown into one of the region's largest, although he maintains that their down to earth and friendly approach has not changed a bit.
"Moving house can be a very stressful experience especially if people don't know what is happening. We try to keep the process as simple as possible and communicate with our customers at each stage. We have found people appreciate this and come back to us time and time again."
