Julian is a member of our commercial property team.

Julian has over 20 years experience in dealing with major commercial property transactions ranging from small businesses to projects that have changed the face of Sheffield. His expertise includes negotiating development agreements and leases of retail units, factories and offices together with all associated licences, as well as sales and acquisitions of freehold and leasehold properties of all types but with a particular emphasis on the leisure sector including hotels and restaurants and bars. He is familiar with the requirements of charities and other not for profit organisations as well as the commercial sector.

Julian also deals with development sites, including complex site assemblies, negotiation of option agreements and conditional contracts, granting and reserving rights and easements, covenants as well as the necessary planning, highway and drainage agreements, and all associated funding arrangements.

Julian is a Director of Music in the Gardens, a charitable company set up to run the annual charity music festival staged every summer in Sheffield’s botanical gardens. His other interests include walking, history and travel.
