Taylor&Emmet secures pastures new for Chris Fields
Leading Sheffield solicitors, Taylor&Emmet LLP, is helping a fledgling local interiors firm fly in the face of the economic climate and make the leap into its first business premises.
Following rapid expansion, Chris Fields Design enlisted Taylor&Emmet commercial property specialist, Rachel Houghton, to secure much needed office space in Dronfield.
Rachel was instructed by the kitchen and bathroom designers to review the lease and negotiate amendments on premises at Lucas Works in Dronfield. Following successful completion of the transaction, the firm has now moved from a home office into the new accommodation, where meetings with clients and suppliers can be held in a private and professional environment.
Chris Fields, managing director of Chris Fields Design, said: “Deciding when to take on commercial premises is never easy, particularly in the current market, but Rachel’s advice has been invaluable during the six month letting process. She was a pleasure to work with, explaining clearly the commitment we were making and the implications it would have for our business. This is not the first time we have used Taylor&Emmet to handle our legal affairs and it will definitely not be the last.”
Chris Fields Design plans and installs residential kitchens and bathrooms, as well as supplying fitted furniture for offices and bedrooms. The firm also takes on light construction work when related to other projects, such as garage conversions.
Rachel Houghton added: “It is exciting to see a relatively new company prospering in such difficult trading conditions and we were pleased to provide the expertise and support Chris Fields Design needed to secure its preferred premises. From its new base in Dronfield, the firm is ideally placed to serve both the Sheffield and North East Derbyshire areas and we are confident this move will boost its prospects further.”
