Taylor&Emmet reviews year in Employment law
Leading Sheffield solicitors, Taylor&Emmet LLP, is rounding up its 2011 programme of employment law seminars with a review of the year and a look at what is in store for 2012.
Taylor&Emmet is inviting local people managers to its final T&E Advance training session of the year to discuss key developments in the industry and what the future will hold.
Delivered by the firm’s employment law specialists, the free quarterly breakfast seminar will be held at the Leopold Hotel in Sheffield city centre on December 8 and will focus on some of the major changes to shake the human resources sector.
The session will cover a range of topical issues, such as the abolition of the retirement age of 65, the introduction of the Agency Workers Regulations and new flexible working and paternity rights. It will also highlight key cases from the last 12 months and forthcoming changes, including proposals to reform the tribunal system.
David Poddington, Taylor&Emmet’s head of employment law, said: “Employers and HR professionals value our practical training events for their accessibility and convenience. Those involved regularly in the management of people recognise how important legal updates are to the wellbeing of staff and the smooth running of their organisations. This final review of the year will ensure delegates are up to speed with recent changes to the law and are ready for the developments to come.”
Taylor&Emmet’s employment law review will include an opportunity for delegates to question the firm’s specialists and network with fellow professionals. Spaces are extremely limited, so early booking is advised.
