Taylor&Emmet offers free wills to support St Lukes
Leading Sheffield solicitors, Taylor&Emmet LLP, is inviting local residents to have a will drawn up for free throughout March, in return for a donation to the firm’s annual charity.
The probate team at Taylor&Emmet is supporting St Luke’s Wills Month 2011 by providing professionally written wills to clients who make a donation to the hospice.
Appointments to have a will drawn up for free by one of the firm’s probate experts can be made anytime during March at Taylor&Emmet’s Arundel Gate, Ecclesall Road or Dronfield offices. All they ask in return is that a minimum donation of £50 for a single will or £90 per pair of wills is made to St Luke’s.
Taylor&Emmet has nominated St Luke’s as its annual charity and is organising a series of fundraising events throughout the year to support the hospice. The money raised will help care for local people with life limiting illnesses, giving them the best quality of life.
Nichola Carmichael, one of Taylor&Emmet’s specialist probate solicitors, said: “Many people think, wrongly, that wills are only for the rich, but if you own a house or other assets of value, it is the only way to control who will benefit from them when you die. We urge people who are considering having a will drawn up to take part in St Luke’s Wills Month. It is an excellent opportunity to put plans in place for a fraction of the normal cost and support this invaluable community resource.”
