Taylor&Emmet hosts employment law review of the year
Leading Sheffield solicitors, Taylor&Emmet LLP, is inviting local HR professionals and people managers to a review of this year’s key developments in employment law.
Taylor&Emmet is hosting a free breakfast seminar on December 2 to highlight the most important changes to the laws affecting employers and look at what is in store for 2011.
Held at Sheffield’s Leopold Hotel, the event will be delivered by members of Taylor&Emmet’s experienced employment law team, who will focus on new pieces of legislation including the Equality Act, the Agency Workers Regulations and the Bribery Act. It will also look at changes to the rules relating to age discrimination, retirement, flexible working and paternity rights, as well as highlighting key cases.
Delegates at the annual employment law review will have an opportunity to question Taylor&Emmet’s legal specialists and network with fellow professionals. A light breakfast will also be provided.
David Poddington, Taylor&Emmet’s head of employment law, said: “This year has seen the introduction of major new legislation and several key cases that have impacted directly on the way organisations manage staff. We want to ensure local businesses are fully aware of the changes and are equipped to deal with them effectively. We have received very positive feedback from the seminars we have run this year and we anticipate high demand for our annual employment law review.”
Taylor&Emmet’s breakfast seminar will run from 8am to 10am. It is free for up to two representatives per organisation, but additional places can be reserved at a cost of £25 plus VAT per person. As numbers are strictly limited, early booking is advised.
