Employment law experts from Sheffield solicitors, Taylor&Emmet LLP, are teaming up with a specialist mediator to help local businesses improve communication in the workplace.
Taylor&Emmet is inviting managers and HR professionals to a free seminar, entitled HR Headaches, focusing on how to deal with breakdowns in working relationships.
Held at Sheffield’s Leopold Hotel on March 15, the breakfast seminar will be hosted by Taylor&Emmet’s employment law team, in conjunction with Claire Manning, a specialist in resolving disputes through workplace mediation.
The interactive workshop will give delegates the tools to resolve disputes before they escalate by highlighting the causes of tension between employees, how to apply the right HR procedure, use of mediation to resolve disputes and the legal options available if working relationships cannot be repaired.
David Poddington, Taylor&Emmet’s head of employment law, said: “Managing the breakdown of working relationships is one of the hardest challenges facing employers. The source of tension is often complex and can stem from a variety of factors, including a personality clash, communication problems, performance and conduct issues, or even bullying and harassment.
“We want to equip managers and HR professionals with the knowledge to meet these challenges head on and bring issues between teams or individuals to a satisfactory conclusion.”
HR Headaches is the latest in Taylor&Emmet’s series of T&E Advance Training quarterly employment law seminars. It will include an opportunity for delegates to network and a question and answer session. Places are extremely limited, so early booking is advised.
For further information or to make a reservation, contact Taylor&Emmet’s marketing co-ordinator, Claire Petty, on (0114) 218 4000 or visit the booking page at T&E Advance training.
