Taylor&Emmet branches out to help Bluebell Wood 20th January 2012
Leading Sheffield solicitors, Taylor&Emmet LLP, is pledging its support to local children’s hospice, Bluebell Wood, the firm’s nominated annual charity for 2012.
Taylor&Emmet has embarked on its year of fundraising for Bluebell Wood by making a £250 donation instead of sending Christmas cards.
A calendar of charity events is planned by Taylor&Emmet that will combine tried and tested fundraisers, such as cake bakes and dress down days, with a number of new ideas, including a raffle of unwanted Christmas gifts in February and weekly Zumba sessions after work.
The firm starts 2012 on a high after raising more than £10,000 for St Luke’s Hospice in the previous 12 months – a record donation that made Taylor&Emmet the charity’s top corporate fundraiser last year.
Claire Petty, Taylor&Emmet’s marketing co-ordinator, said: “We are really pleased to announce our partnership with Bluebell Wood, which provides such vital support to families across our region. Raising such a phenomenal amount for St Luke’s has set the charity bar extremely high this year, but the hospice proved a popular choice in our staff vote and I am confident my colleagues will rise to the challenge.”
Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice offers care to children and young adults with a shortened life expectancy. The hospice supports families from across South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, North West Lincolnshire and North Nottinghamshire, helping them to enjoy a lifetime of love and laughter.
Bluebell Wood corporate fundraiser, Julie Hampson, added: “I would like to thank Taylor&Emmet for choosing Bluebell Wood as its annual charity. We receive no statutory government funding and without the generosity of local businesses and residents we simply couldn’t help as many children as we do. I am looking forward to working closely with the firm and wish them every success in their forthcoming fundraising efforts.”
