Find out about how a Tribunal hearing really works - without it costing you a penny!

Most employers do not want to go anywhere near the inside of an Employment Tribunal but with over 200,000 Tribunal claims lodged last year, for many organisations claims are becoming an inevitable fact of business life. Sooner or later you or your managers may have to represent your organisation in Tribunal. Will you be ready?

For HR professionals or managers giving evidence for the first time a Tribunal hearing can be a daunting prospect. Many witnesses will not know what to expect both in terms of the procedure on the day and the questions they might be asked. Don’t just settle cases for fear of the unknown!

This training event seeks to replicate how an actual Tribunal hearing will unfold using a scenario involving unfair dismissal, harassment and social media.  This will be a fully interactive event where you will have the chance, if you wish, to cross-examine witnesses and ask questions of the lawyers in a relaxed and safe environment.

Our free half day Mock Tribunal will include:

• Introduction to Tribunal hearing procedure
• The importance of the ET forms
• Preparing for the hearing
• Who do you call as a witness?
• Giving evidence
• The role of the Judge and the members of the panel
• Closing submissions
• Judgment and awards of compensation and costs

Taylor&Emmet’s experienced Employment Law team lead by David Poddington will present a full Tribunal role play scenario with delegates able to vote on the outcome. David and his team regularly appear in Employment Tribunals across the UK and will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
